Sentences and phrases from the PubMed central database

To facilitate authors for increasing of the productivity of scientific writing, this tool provide a list of phrases to start a sentence. These phrases are sorted by the their average occurrences in PMC papers, reflecting the various section of a paper. You can click on the phrase to get the list of most common words occurring in next 10 words which can be used to write a complete sentence. The counts reflect how many time the phrase occurred in a corpus of 2 million articles from PMC. Google Custom Search engine provide the extended sentence with highlighting of the queried phrase. Phrases can be selected and extended in the right side text box, and then can be copy paste to a word document. The tool can be used as a starting point to prepare the first draft of a manuscript. These phrases were selected from Nature and Cell Journal articles, but similar sites can be created for each scientific journal which has submitted papers in the PMC and have provided the content for text mining.
